Another Quiz, FO and the start of a few more

Finished my SP6 gift last night, ends are all tucked in and just have to wrap everything tonight and off to the post office in the morning. Yaaahoooo, another FO. Only took me a couple days to do this project, sorry I can't say what just in case. I'm so excited, I hope she likes everything. I did try to pack some of her favorite things she had mentioned on her blog.

I received my SSSS sock the other day and it looks good, Shara did an awesome job and love the colors. Purple is one of my Fav colors and this is my first pair of handknit socks that aren't white or cream in color. I'll cast on this weekend for my sock so I should be wearing the pair for Christmas(I hope, I do have a month before the big day, lol) Here's a pic of the sock hanging out with some of my sock yarn. It is done in 8ply Cleckheaton on 4mm needles, which reminds me I have to go pick up a set this weekend. I'll try to stick to my yarn diet but no promises ;-)

Started hubby's gift last weekend and stopped to do my SP's gift. It's a scarf and since I haven't made him one since are first year together I think it's about time. The first one was made with acrylic, yes I did say acrylic. Don't worry that is in the past and his new scarf is being made with 100% Merino Wool-Mission Falls. Here it is on its 2nd ball. It is a dark cream, sorry the picture doesn't do it justice.

Also, fresh on the needles are a pair of socks for my 3 year old. He asked for another pair of "Spaceman Socks" and picked the color out of my stash. I'm using Paton's Kroy on 3mm needles using the Child's Basic Pattern. Not a bad start for only an hours work, I'm happy with the progress. Maybe just maybe I'll turn the heel tonight.

Here's another quiz:
Pegasus Banner
You're a pegasus. You're very calm and loving.
Something about you makes others want to get
close to you, whether or not you feel the same
way about them. You don't bond to others
easily, but when you do it's long-lasting. Your
alignment is *good*, but not so much that you
can't have fun.

New Quiz and almost done SP giftee

On the knitting front, I'm almost finished my giftee for my SP and will send it out tomorrow. It will be the third package with the reveal in it. I hope she enjoys everything, I'm going with the Christmas theme(very original), tree and all. Yes, I said tree, an actual Christmas tree (mini)will be in her package and lots of other fun goodies.

Here's the results of a quiz I just took, now back to finishing the last 12 rows I have left on the SP giftee.

You are just and fair, a perfectionist with a
strong sense of proper decorum. You are very
attracted to chivalry, ceremony and dignity.
For the most part you are rather sensible, but
you are also very idealistic.

Role Models: Guinevere, Princess Fiona (of Shrek)

You are most likely to: Get kidnapped by a stray
dragon.

I've got mail and more FO's

I checked my mail yesterday and I received 3 packages. The first package was from my SP. Enclosed was a gift from Amazon, the Socks Socks Socks : 70 Winning Patterns From Knitter's Magazine Sock Contest . The book has some of the best patterns I've ever seen. This is also my first sock book, I'm so excited. I spent an hour + looking through the book trying to decide which pair of socks I will knit first. Thank you sooooo much SP for the most valued gift in my knitting collection.

My second package was from the dishcloth exchange I participated in last month. I received 5 of the prettiest cloths along with a couple stitch markers(my first ones), chocolate and a pair of little scissors from the Jan, the awesome lady hostessing the exchange. What a haul.

My third package contained my crochet swap squares. I love exchanges, not only do I get to give someone something but seeing the work of others is inspiring and makes me want to try new patterns and so far only a couple of flops, lol.

On the knitting front, we know have a pair of fuzzy feet, not felted yet but will get that done today, pics to follow.

I'mmmm Baaaack (with more FO's)

Here's a few pics of my Fuzzy Foot(pre-felting) and Dublin Bay Sock.

I finished my SSSS sock today, just have to package it and mail it tomorrow. It turned out very well and fits me perfectly(Shara and I have the same size feet). I used the Dublin Bay Sock pattern and did swatch before hand instead of winging it, lol. It has a strip of lace down either side of the leg and was perfect for my 3rd pair of socks. I used Fortissma Colori on 2.25mm needles. I will be starting my pair later this week, I would like to get my other Fuzzy foot done this week and felted. It's starting to get a bit nippy here and is supposed to snow this week, lucky for us it doesn't last for more than a day or two. I need socks!!!!!

I also finished my monthly crochet exchange squares and a dishcloth for my swap partner in the Christmas dishcloth swap. I've also cast on and got the first part done on a Secret Gift for my SP for her last package. I'll hopefully have a few more dishcloths done for the end of the month too for just in case Xmas gifts.

My little Guys

I just wanted to share a couple of pics of my two youngest boys, Justice and Collin in their Halloween attire. Justice is the race car driver and Collin is Batman.

On the needles-sock for my SSSS exchange, still on the cuff, dishcloth for my X-mas swap, Fuzzy feet-still the first sock but on the picking up stitches part plus the blanket for myself and shawl.
