HSKS, Yarn Porn and other stuff

I owe Betty from Gryffindor a Super Big Thank You for the wonderful package she sent for the HSKS swap. I have my first felted bag in my house "Slytherin" colors (I've made them but never kept one for myself). Betty also included one of Wendy's patterns(another first), the "Pagoda Lace", yarn from Seacoast Handpainted in my house colors, cute stitchmarkers for my sock needles, a beautiful bookmark, 2 Crystal Palace bamboo dpns, Harry Potter light up pen and Harry Potter Jelly Slugs, yummy!

Yarn Porn, here's a couple pics of what I received these past couple of weeks. First pic is some lovely sock yarn from Cherry Tree Hill Sockittome in Indian Summer, Louet Gems and 5 skeins of the Malabrigo lace weight, yummy.

Here's some Yarn Pirate goodness in Spooky and Rebel.

Here's the package from yesterday from the Sweet Sheep, we have from left to right, Dream in Color Smooshy in Petal Showers, SheePaints "Pumpkin", Twinkle Toes "Black Cherry" and SheePaints "Cheesecake

I'll have some packages to send out in the next couple of days, my HSKS package is ready to send and my Monkey pal's socks are 3/4's done. I've turned the heel on the second sock so if I put out tonight and possibly tomorrow morning I should be able to send them both out in the afternoon. I'll post pics of them before I ship'em out :)I have also contacted my Sockapalooza 4 pal I'm an Angel for and have decided on some STR for her socks in an array of blues. My Hogwart's 2 sock swap is coming along and hopefully next weekend that will be off by owl. No spoiler pics sorry.

I still have 2 spots left for the Pay it Forward Swap, here's the details:Here's the details as explained from blog to blog:"Here is how it works! I'll send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange! I don't know what that gift will be yet, and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week...LOL... but you will receive it within 365 days, that's a promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog..."If you're interested, let me know by posting to this blog, and I'll start planning your project! This is just the best and I'm looking forward making some cool socks. Time to wake up hubby, he's off for the long weekend and we have to go turkey shopping. It is Thanksgiving here in Canada so to all my fellow Canadians "Happy Thanksgiving" and everyone have a terrific weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!! I actually attended a Canadian Thanksgiving party last night, hosted by gen-u-wine Canadians! No turkey though, which was disappointing since I could eat turkey dinner every month and not get tired of it. Hope you had a wonderful time.
